Oksana Bochina

street and travel photographer

Oksana Bochina is a Montenegro-based street and travel photographer whose work captures the spontaneous and unscripted moments of everyday life. Originally from Moscow, Russia, she has been living in Herceg-Novi, Montenegro, since 2021. Recognised among the top 35 photographers in Montenegro by 35Awards (2024) and a recipient of the Hungarian Contemporary Art Prize (2024), her photography has been featured by Street Photo International and exhibited in Montenegro, Russia, the UK, the USA, and Australia. Driven by a deep curiosity about people, cultures, and the natural world, Oksana’s work seeks to transcend borders, revealing the beauty in fleeting moments. Whether wandering familiar streets or exploring new destinations, she uses her lens to connect stories across time and place, inviting viewers to see the world with fresh eyes.

As a street and travel photographer, I seek to capture the quiet, often overlooked stories that unfold in everyday life. My work reflects a deep curiosity about people and places, emphasizing both stillness and movement, presence and absence. Photography allows me to document the passage of time—not just in physical spaces but in the way memory and experience shape how we see the world.

I am drawn to fleeting moments that reveal deeper narratives—exploring themes of solitude, nostalgia, and discovery. Whether in a bustling city or a remote village, I seek the poetry of everyday life, where emotions, history, and human presence subtly intertwine. Through my lens, I aim to transform the ordinary into something evocative, where each photograph holds a story waiting to be found.
